Hey! I’m Natalie Bartley, and this was the first name I ever wrote under. Originally, I was publishing my stories on Wattpad and was more or less content with keeping them there, until a friend of mine who was reading through them practically begged me to publish the (at the time only complete, non fan-fiction) story outside of Wattpad. And I did, Love an Pain in Zion was my first novel, published in December 2019 (almost 5 years!). I followed Love and Pain in Zion up fairly quickly with Apotheosis, and then started on some of my smaller works. Love in Bar Harbor was meant to be an 8-book series, centering around the Pagan Wheel of the Year, but I lost steam. I do still want to complete them, but it may be that I write the last five together, and then release them at the festival they represent.
I was, for almost two years, represented by Tea With Coffee Media, who published my book Remaking the Sorceress. It’s the first book in a trilogy (The Titan of Light trilogy) and it focuses on Medea, the famed and feared sorceress of Colchis. It’s my love letter to her, as one of my favourite mythological or literary characters of all time. I hope, even to this day, that I do her justice. But, the company closed, Remaking the Sorceress is back in my hands, and I’m preparing for a re-release of the book in 2025 (final date pending). I am also in the last stretch of Awakening the Titan (book 2 of The Titan of Light trilogy) and still have no idea what to write for book 3! It’ll come, it’ll come.
In the meantime, I’m doing my first collaboration project this Christmas! I’ve done a few under Samantha, and they’ve mostly been successful (especially the Halloween ones), but this time I’m writing under my name, and I hope it turns out well. I still have final filling out edits to go in On Wings of Fate (Windrider Saga book 1), but don’t have a release date set for that yet.
